FAQ · Spokane Party People

How the business works

How does booking work?

Start with the party inquiry form and share your date, location, guest count, age range, and party style. Mary reviews requests personally and sends a custom quote within 24 hours whenever possible, so you are not left trying to decode a giant rental menu on your own.

Can I order online now, or do I need a quote first?

For now, every party starts with a quote request. Spokane Party People has limited party crate inventory, and Mary personally reviews each inquiry to confirm availability, delivery timing, package fit, address details, and any special needs before sending a custom quote. Automated online ordering may come later, but the current quote-first process helps make sure each host gets the right fit.

Do you drop off and pick up?

Yes. Spokane Party People delivers the party crate and picks it up afterward unless a different timing plan is confirmed in your quote. You get the fun without turning your garage into party-supply storage.

Is setup or cleanup included?

Setup and cleanup are not included by default unless your quote says so. Most party crates are designed as ready-to-host rentals that families can unpack, enjoy, repack, and leave ready for pickup. Setup, cleanup, tech check, station layout, or attendant options may be available at an additional cost depending on the crate, date, location, and staffing availability.

What areas do you deliver to?

Delivery and pickup are available within the Spokane metro service area, including Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Cheney, and more. Exact availability can depend on your address, party date, timing, crate, and package details, so include your location when you submit the inquiry form.

Are items cleaned between rentals?

Yes. Returned gear is checked, sorted, and cleaned between rentals. The goal is simple: open the crate, see the supplies, and feel like the party is ready to go.

Can we use a crate at a park?

Often, yes, but parks may have rules about reservations, permits, power, staking, structures, parking, or activity types. Tell us the park when you submit the inquiry form so we can help you think through logistics before anyone is hauling party gear across a field.

Do you host the party?

Not by default. Spokane Party People is primarily a ready-to-host party crate rental service. We make hosting easier by gathering the supplies, delivering the crate, including helpful guidance, and picking everything up afterward. Setup, cleanup, staffing, or event attendant support may be available for some parties at an added cost if included in your quote.

Can you help with public events, school events, corporate events, or larger gatherings?

Yes, when the date, package, location, and logistics are a good fit. Larger events may need custom timing, staffing, delivery planning, station layout, or package adjustments, and we would rather plan that up front than wing it in a parking lot.

The money side, in plain English

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. One $100 booking deposit reserves your date. It does double duty: $50 applies to your rental balance on party day, and $50 is held as a refundable equipment security deposit.

The remaining rental balance is due at delivery, and we refund the $50 equipment security portion within 5 business days after pickup and inspection.

How does the refundable equipment security deposit work?

The $50 equipment security portion of your booking deposit is held during your rental and refunded within 5 business days after we pick up and inspect the gear. We are not in the business of making money from equipment deposits.

Normal scuffs, worn darts, and small signs of regular party play are expected. The deposit is mainly for missing blasters, missing accessories, avoidable damage, or equipment that is not returned.

When will I get my equipment security deposit refunded?

We refund the $50 equipment security portion within 5 business days of pickup. After we collect the gear, we count, inspect, and clean it, then issue your refund to the original payment method. If anything is missing or damaged beyond normal play, we will reach out and review it with you before any deduction.

When is the remaining rental balance due?

The remaining rental balance is due at delivery. Your quote will show the full total, the $100 booking deposit, and exactly what is left to pay on party day so there is no mystery math at the door.

What if something breaks or gets lost?

Normal party wear is expected; parties are supposed to look like people had fun. Missing, heavily damaged, or unreturned items may result in replacement charges according to the rental agreement, and we will review those situations with you clearly before any charge beyond the $50 equipment security deposit.

Cancellations & reschedules

What is your cancellation and reschedule policy?

Life happens. Here is how we handle it:

  • More than 48 hours before your event: we can transfer your $100 booking deposit to any open date within 90 days at no charge.
  • Within 48 hours of your event: the $100 booking deposit is forfeited because the booking slot has been held and other bookings may have been turned away.
  • Weather: never penalized. See our weather policy for details.
  • If we ever cancel on you due to illness, equipment failure, delivery issues, or anything on our end: full refund or free reschedule, your choice.
Can I move my date to another weekend?

Yes. With more than 48 hours notice, we can transfer your $100 booking deposit to any open date within 90 days at no charge. Just contact us with the new date you have in mind and we will check availability.

What if I need to cancel last-minute?

Cancellations within 48 hours of your event forfeit the $100 booking deposit because that slot has already been held for you and other bookings may have been turned away. If something serious comes up, reach out. We are human, we listen, and we will do what we can.

What happens if Spokane Party People has to cancel?

If we ever have to cancel because of illness, equipment failure, delivery issues, or anything on our end, you will get a full refund or a free reschedule, your choice.

Weather policy

What happens if it rains, snows, or weather changes?

Spokane weather likes to keep everyone humble. Our policy is reschedule-first: if weather may affect your party, contact us as early as possible and we will help you move the date.

  • Your $100 booking deposit can transfer to any open date within 90 days at no charge.
  • No weather penalty. Forecasts change, and parties get planned around school, sports, and family schedules.
  • Where appropriate, we may also discuss adjusting timing, moving indoors, or changing the setup plan so the party can still go forward.

If conditions are unsafe for delivery, such as active storms, ice, hazardous roads, or other safety concerns, we will reach out and reschedule together.

How early should I tell you about weather concerns?

As soon as you start watching the forecast and feeling worried, even 3-4 days out, let us know. The earlier we hear from you, the easier it is to find a great reschedule date inside your 90-day window.

Foam-dart party questions

What is Blaster Battle?

Blaster Battle is the flagship foam-dart party crate from Spokane Party People. It was formerly called Dart Drop in some older materials, but Blaster Battle is the current public-facing name because it better explains the experience: foam-dart blasters, darts, safety eyewear, team markers, barriers, targets, and active game-style play.

What Blaster Battle packages are available?

Current Blaster Battle packages include the Matching Loadout Battle Crate for 10 players or less at $225, the Variety Battle Crate for 10, 15, or 20 players at $225, $275, or $325, the Glow-in-the-Dark Battle Crate at $295, and the Mega Battle Crate at $275. See the Blaster Battle page for full details.

Which Blaster Battle package should I choose?

Choose the Matching Loadout Battle Crate if you want 10-player-or-less fair-play fun with matching blasters. Choose the Variety Battle Crate if you want mixed blasters or need 10, 15, or 20 player sizing. Choose the Glow-in-the-Dark Battle Crate for evening events with glow-friendly elements. Choose the Mega Battle Crate when you want a bigger, bolder blaster experience.

What does every Blaster Battle package include?

Every package includes the selected Battle Crate of foam-dart blasters, darts for the package, safety eyewear for the booked package, team markers or armbands, barriers with an air pump, boundary cones to help mark the play zone, practice targets, game guidance, delivery, and pickup within the Spokane metro service area, subject to address, date, timing, and package fit.

What add-ons are available for Blaster Battle?

You can add a Birthday Hero Blaster for $25 each so your VIP gets the big one, or add Additional Nights for $100 per night when booked in advance. For larger events, ask whether attendant support is available as a custom quote option.

What ages is Blaster Battle best for?

All Blaster Battle packages are recommended for ages 8+. Players should be able to follow simple safety rules, keep safety eyewear on, and listen when the supervising adult calls a reset.

Is safety eyewear required for Blaster Battle?

Yes. Safety eyewear is included for the booked package and should be worn by every player during active play. Think of it as part of the uniform: eyewear on, boundaries clear, responsible adult watching, then game on.

Do adults need to supervise Blaster Battle?

Yes. Blaster Battle brings the fun, but a responsible adult still needs to be the referee, safety captain, and occasional snack-break negotiator. The supervising adult should review the quick-start guide, keep players in the play area, and pause the game if things get too wild.

Can Blaster Battle be played indoors?

It depends on the space. Many families prefer outdoor play because it gives players more room and makes cleanup easier. If you are considering indoor play, choose a safe area, move breakables out of the way, and set clear boundaries before the first dart flies.

Where can I read the full Safety page?

The full Safety page is available at https://spokanepartypeople.com/safety. It is worth a quick read before party day so everyone knows the rules before the backyard becomes an arena.

Questions about the current lineup

What party crates are available?

The current and planned lineup includes Blaster Battle Party Crate, Princess Party Crate, Golf Party Crate, Backyard Movie Night Party Crate, Carnival Party Crate, VIP Red Carpet Party Crate, and Pamper Party Crate, which is coming soon. Availability can vary by date, package, staffing, and inventory, so the inquiry form is the best first step.

What is the Princess Party Crate?

The Princess Party Crate is designed for cozy, magical, dress-up-friendly celebration moments. It now carries the sleepover-style concept that appeared in some older planning materials, so if you previously saw separate sleepover tent wording, think of Princess Party as the updated customer-facing direction.

What is the Golf Party Crate?

The Golf Party Crate is for playful putting, backyard challenges, and golf-themed party energy without asking a parent to assemble a mini course from scratch. It is a good fit for kids, families, casual competitions, and hosts who want an activity that feels active but not chaotic.

What is the Backyard Movie Night Party Crate?

The Backyard Movie Night Party Crate helps turn a yard, driveway, or gathering space into a cozy outdoor movie moment. Exact details can depend on your location, timing, power access, weather, and add-ons, so include those details in your quote request.

What is the Carnival Party Crate?

The Carnival Party Crate is the updated direction for the big yard-game-style party concept. It is meant for classic game stations, cheerful competition, prize-table energy, school-style fun, neighborhood parties, and family gatherings where guests can rotate between activities.

What is the VIP Red Carpet Party Crate?

The VIP Red Carpet Party Crate is for photo moments, arrivals, spotlight energy, and parties that need a little extra “main character” magic. It can pair well with movie nights, milestone birthdays, school events, dance parties, or any celebration where guests should feel like stars.

What is the Pamper Party Crate?

The Pamper Party Crate is coming soon. It replaces the older spa-party wording in current customer-facing materials and is intended for calm, cozy, pamper-style celebrations. If that sounds like the party you want, mention it in your inquiry so Mary can let you know the latest availability and timing.

Can I combine party crates or add extras?

Sometimes, yes. Add-ons and cross-promotions may include options like popcorn machine service, red carpet pieces, stanchions and velvet ropes, glow or lighting elements, extra seating, prize or favor packs, setup or tech-check support, station layout help, or event attendant support. Availability depends on the date, location, crate, and staffing, so ask about add-ons in your quote request.

Which crate is best for my party?

If you are not sure, that is exactly what the inquiry form is for. Share the age range, number of guests, location, party vibe, and anything your kid is excited about. Mary can help point you toward the crate that makes the most sense instead of forcing you to guess from a list.

Will the party crate lineup change?

It can. Spokane Party People is still growing its party crate inventory and refining packages based on what Spokane families actually want to host. The website reflects the current public-facing lineup, and your quote will confirm what is available for your date.
