Parents Google this. We figured we'd answer everything up front.
Foam darts only. Safety eyewear required. Adult supervision required. Clear play zones with soft barriers. Sanitized gear between every booking.
That's the framework. Below is everything we actually do, in detail, so you can make the call with full information.
Foam-dart blasters only. Every blaster we send out fires standard foam darts at velocities well within consumer-toy safety limits. No projectile blasters, no airsoft, no paintball, no anything that breaks skin.
Safety eyewear is included for every player and required for play. We size them on-site at drop-off. Players who do not keep eyewear on do not play. That is the rule, and the supervising adult enforces it.
Soft barriers mark the play zone and give kids cover. An air pump is provided for inflating and deflating the barricades, and boundary cones are included to help mark the play zone clearly.
Team armbands keep teams sorted so kids know who's on which side without arguments.
Every booking requires at least one adult (18+) to supervise the entire play period. The waiver makes this explicit and the supervising adult signs for it.
What "supervise" means:
Before drop-off, you confirm the play area is reasonably safe: no broken glass, no construction debris, no aggressive pets present during play, no dangerous trip hazards.
Indoor or outdoor both work. Outdoors needs a contained area (fenced yard ideal). Indoors needs a cleared room with breakables put away.
All equipment is wiped down with non-toxic sanitizing solution between bookings.
We carry general liability insurance covering our equipment and operations. We'll provide a certificate of insurance on request for venues that need it (parks, churches, schools).
"Has anyone ever gotten hurt?" Foam darts cause about as much harm as a thrown sock. The eyewear rule is the entire safety story: keep eyewear on and the worst injury is usually a tripped-over barrier.
"What about the family pet?" If you have a dog, we recommend keeping them inside during play. They get excited, kids forget about them, foam darts get chewed.
"What if a kid takes off their eyewear?" The supervising adult calls a timeout, eyewear goes back on, play resumes. The rule is eyewear-on-or-no-play, full stop.
